2nd Annual City of Oxford Recreational Department Car Show Photo 2

I avoided hot I-85 by taking Route 1 South to South Hill and then 58 to Clarksville and 15 to Oxford. It was a very pleasant drive. The folk in North Carolina were nice to us. We asked for directions just outside of Oxford and a couple in a pickup let us follow them into the city and then gave us directions - correct ones - to the show. We also were told to eat at a restaurant in town that turned out to be a good one. Many of the cars at the show were from the southern area of Virginia. The red Mercury on this page is from the P & J shop in Danville. I think they still make the fiberglass replica of the old Merc.
